انطلاقاً من دور المملكة العربية السعودية الإنساني والريادي تجاه المجتمع الدولي في شتى أنحاء العالم، واستشعاراً منها بأهمية هذا الدور المؤثر في رفع المعاناة عن الإنسان ليعيش حياة كريمة، بادرت بإنشاء مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، ليكون مركزاً دولياً مخصصاً للأعمال الإغاثية والإنسانية، دُشنت أعماله في مايو من العام 2015 ، بتوجيه ورعاية كريمة من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، أيده الله. The Kingdom realizes the significance of this role in alleviating human suffering and ensuring that all people are given the opportunity to live healthy, dignified lives.
